Guesshaus adheres to the German Shepherd Dog Club of America (GSDCA) Breeders' Code of Ethics and is a member in good standing with the GSDCA, the German Shepherd Dog Club of Dallas, the Longview Kennel Club, and the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. program. These affiliations reflect our dedication to responsible breeding practices and breed standards.

2. Comprehensive Health Testing

All prospective breeding pairs at Guesshaus undergo thorough health evaluations, including OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) and/or PennHip, DNA Health testing and Temperament Stability/Biddability Testing. The results are transparently shared with potential buyers, ensuring informed decisions and promoting the health and longevity of their dogs.

3. Versatile and Purposeful Breeding

Guesshaus focuses on producing German Shepherds that excel in various roles—family companions, service dogs, show-quality, and performance dogs. We don't just guess on personality. Every puppy undergoes rigorous Temperament Stability and Biddability Testing (the Volhard Aptitude Test) to ensure they have the right mind, resilience, and drives for their specific placement.

Operating on a 50-acre farm in Titus County, Northeast Texas, Guesshaus provides a spacious and nurturing environment for our dogs. This setting allows for ample socialization and exercise, contributing to the well-being and balanced temperament of our puppies.
